Qurbani in Türkiye from Abroad: Have It Performed Securely from Austria
A Türkiye Qurbani donation is the most popular choice for Turkish families in Austria who want to keep their bond with their homeland.
A small-animal Qurbani costs 250 €. Your Qurbani is performed in Türkiye and the meat goes to families in need and orphans.
Why do people choose Qurbani in Türkiye from abroad?
Many families living in Innsbruck, Vienna or Bregenz want their Qurbani to be performed in their own homeland.
In Türkiye, too, there are families facing economic hardship who cannot put meat on the table at Eid.
This is why a Türkiye Qurbani is a way both to fulfil the act of worship and to reach people in need in a region close to home.
Why is the price higher than in other regions?
In Türkiye, animal prices and slaughter costs are significantly higher than in Africa or Asia.
If you would like to have more Qurbani performed with the same budget, you can also consider options such as the Africa Qurbani donation (100 €).
The process step by step
- Form: Enter the type of Qurbani, the quantity and on whose behalf it is to be performed above.
- Payment: Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, EPS or PayPal; once confirmed, your donation receipt arrives by e-mail.
- Slaughter: The Qurbani is performed in accordance with Islamic rules, under the proxy you have given.
- Video: The slaughter video is sent to you via WhatsApp.
- Distribution: The meat reaches families and orphans who are truly in need.
For the religious basis of proxy and what you should enter in the form, read our article Qurbani by proxy.
Example: two Qurbani from Tirol
A couple living in Tirol want to have two Qurbani performed: one wajib and one Shukr Qurbani.
Total: 2 × 250 € = 500 €. In the form, they can enter the two Qurbani in separate rows, each with its own name.
You can find the difference between Shukr, Nadhr and Aqiqah Qurbani in our guide Nadhr, Aqiqah and Shukr Qurbani.
The large-animal Qurbani option
In Türkiye, a large-animal Qurbani (the whole animal) costs 2.650 €, and one large animal can be divided into up to 7 shares. For details, see the Türkiye large-animal Qurbani page.
Wajib Qurbani is performed during Eid al-Adha, 16–19 May 2027. You can read who it is wajib for in our article Who must offer Qurbani?, and see all regions on the Qurbani projects page.
The practical way for families in Austria
Having Qurbani performed through relatives in Türkiye can sometimes cost time and effort in communication and money transfers.
With an online donation, the whole process is completed in a single form: you pay in euros and don’t have to deal with exchange rates or transfer fees.
Because the slaughter video comes via WhatsApp, you can easily share with the elders of your family that your Qurbani has been performed.
The eve of Eid is 15 May 2027. As the organisation of Türkiye Qurbani is planned early, we recommend donating in the first weeks of May.
When entering on whose behalf your Qurbani is performed, we recommend giving the full first name and surname. If you are having Qurbani performed for several people, each name goes in a separate row and the videos are prepared accordingly.
